Wokingham blue household waste bag delivery

0

Wokingham Borough residents are now receiving their 80 blue household waste bags, which is their allocation for 2014/15.

The official 80 blue household waste bags, in two rolls of 40, should be used for all waste that cannot be recycled; no other bags will be collected. Any residents who haven’t used their previous allocation of blue bags can continue to use them. Blue bags, that are the same dimensions as last year, can be placed on top of recycling boxes or with the handles tied in a dustbin to prevent animal damage.

Anyone who has already registered as a larger household (five or more) will automatically receive their additional bags by the end of July. Anyone who needs to register can do so by contacting Wokingham Direct on (0118) 974 6000 or [email protected].

Items that can be recycled include food tin and drink cans, plastic bottles (no lids), aerosols and paper/card. There is also no limit on the amount of recycling that can be put out; the borough council simply insists that recycling is put in black boxes. Residents can request an additional black box; which is available free of charge, by emailing [email protected] or by calling (0118) 974 6000.

All residents should receive their 80 official blue bags by mid-March but anyone wishing to know when their blue bags are being delivered can do can visit the blue bag page or call (0118) 974 6000.
