Wokingham children Bikeability training

Wokingham Borough Council has been awarded a grant of £56,000 from the Department for Transport to enable some 1,400 children to receive Bikeability training between April 2014 and March 2015. The grant will be used to provide on-road cycle training for children aged between 10 and 14 years old.

In the current financial year, 1,330 children will have been trained on Bikeability courses by the end of March 2014. 1,200 were trained in 2012/13 and prior to that between 800 and 1,000 children received cycle training each year.
